As a Lead Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant (Team Manager) with Life Line Screening, you will continue to engage with patients, as you lead a team of technicians towards a common goal.

In Life Line Screening’s community event-based setting, you will manage a fast-paced work environment in a different location each day. What you’ll do as a Leader at Life Line Screening:

  • Provide direct support, training, and development to team and maintain Life Line Screening’s high standards of clinical quality and customer service
  • Work with the Operations Director to set team performance and budgetary goals, and coach and encourage team to achieve or exceed them
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new staff
  • Complete end-of-day duties such as reports, paperwork, bank deposits, shipping/receiving functions, company van maintenance, and other operations duties as required

What you’ll do as a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant at Life Line Screening:

  • Cross train and participate in all core Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration and Laboratory screening areas
  • Review participant records for accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct Venipuncture and finger-sticks, where scheduled
  • Monitor patients for reactions as well as ensure the quality of the sample
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comfortability while meeting customer service expectations throughout entire process
  • Oversee and ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients
  • Properly package and ship specimens to central lab on a daily basis, where applicable

What you'll need to be successful at Life Line Screening:

  • Extensive work experience with customer-facing Medical Assistant and phlebotomy duties
  • Precision phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 3 years' experience with adult venipuncture.
  • Proven work experience in a leadership capacity
  • Experienced with centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes using transfer devices
  • Skilled in inpatient or outpatient draw experience (hospital, nursing home, doctor’s office traveling phlebotomist, or draw center, etc.)
  • Desire to provide unparalleled customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
  • Strength in leadership, teamwork & collaboration; sharing responsibilities driving the company van, loading, and unloading equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Certification in phlebotomy from either the ASCP, NPA, NHA or AMT is preferred
