The Impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of Database Engineering and Platform Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. As a Lead Performance Engineer, you will drive performance engineering strategy across critical enterprise applications and platforms. You will partner with Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.

You will develop, conduct, and evaluate testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. You will play a key role in advancing the organization's performance engineering practices, automation frameworks, and testing capabilities while mentoring engineers and influencing technology decisions.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop proven grasp of the DTCC Software Delivery process, Performance Test Engineering framework, CoE (Center of Excellence) Engagement process as well as understanding of tech-stack (tools and technologies) to perform day-to-day job
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement performance test scenarios based on non-functional requirements and follow standard DTCC testing guidelines
  • Automate performance test scenarios by using current automated functional and performance test scripts in compliance with the non-functional framework
  • Maintain traceability across Non-Functional Requirements, Performance Test Scenarios and Defects
  • Track defects to closure, report test results, continuously supervise execution achievements and call out as required
  • Identify environmental and data requirements; collaborate with Development and Testing teams to manage and maintain environment and data
  • Provide mentorship to team members related to performance test coverage, performance test scenarios, and non-functional requirements
  • Develop a basic understanding of the product being delivered including architecture considerations and technical design of the supported applications in relations to the performance and scalability.
  • Work with Development and Architecture teams and find opportunities to improve the test coverage. Share suggestions for performance improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Experience in performance engineering (analysis, testing, and tuning)
  • Experience developing n-tier, J2EE software applications
  • Expertise in performance analysis of distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, AWS, Containers and VMware (tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Datadog, TeamQuest)
  • Expertise in performance and load testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Playwright or Selenium for automation testing is a plus.
  • Expertise in load testing tools, such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Microsoft Playwright etc.
  • Experience in scripting (Unix shell, Python, Groovy)
  • Experience using JMS/IBM-MQ messaging system
  • Understanding of RESTful web service, JSON, and XML
  • Experience analyzing and tuning database performance across Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments.
  • Experience with cloud services preferably Azure, GCP or AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementations, including testing, using Jenkins or similar tool
  • Experience working with Agile teams (preferably scrum)
  • Familiarity with AI technologies like Copilot, Amazon Q and Amazon Kiro
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred. Familiarity with distributed ledger technology (DLT), blockchain platforms, and digital asset ecosystems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with resilience testing, fault injection, and chaos engineering practices using tools such as Gremlin is a plus.
