Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.

Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator – Pediatric Medicine

Under the guidance and support of the Director of Nursing, the Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator provides clinical leadership, ensuring coordination of patient care and oversight of nursing and MA staff within the Pediatric Medicine Department. The Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator serves as a resource for staff, while collaborating with providers and leadership to optimize workflow, ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulation policies to ensure the promotion of high-quality patient care for the pediatric population. The Lead LPN/Vaccine Coordinator ensures coordination, storage and distribution of both state and federal vaccines per DPH guidelines.

Schedule: Mon – Fri: 8:30 am – 5:00pm

Pay Range: $73,236.90 - $87,859.20 annually*

* The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.

Benefits:

Required Qualifications:

  1. License to practice as an LPN from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and BA/BS degree or higher in health and human services required.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of pediatric clinical nursing experience, community/FQHC or primary care setting required.
  3. Experience with vaccine programs (i.e VFC) and inventory management strongly preferred.
  4. Prior leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.
  5. Knowledge of health, social services, and funding sources preferred.
  6. Appropriate continuing education is required.
  7. Maintain current certification in CPR at the healthcare level required.
  8. Strong computer knowledge; Epic experience preferred.
  9. Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
  10. Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information required.

  5. Must be culturally competent and strongly committed to the care of underserved populations.

HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. in Fall River, MA began as a Model Cities Program in 1971 in response to a need for accessible medical and dental care expressed by residents. The City of Fall River provided strong support for this program and its name was subsequently changed to the Community Development Service Center.

The Center has served three generations of families. HealthFirst’s service area has grown over the past 50 years to include the Portuguese, Hispanic, Cambodian, African American and Brazilian Portuguese populations.
