Essential Functions
1.Ability to analysis patient demographic information to determine areas where information provided may need clarification in order to be useful to other users.
2.Perform audits of documents generated via the Hospital Information System or the Document Imaging System, including analysis of information entered through custom questions. Follows up as necessary with other hospital staff.
3.Works with case management to resolve insurance coverage issues.
4.Trains and orients new employees, conducts training for existing staff on new techniques or procedures as directed by Supervisor.
5. Maintains a thorough understanding of the modules in the Hospital Information System and Document Imaging System in order to pre-register and register patients and well as being able to correct or update database to reflect changes in patient status, patient transfer, newborn admissions, and discharges. After six months of employment, maintains a minimum accuracy rate of at least 96%.
6. Ability to manage downtime procedures and re-initiation of Hospital Information System and Document Imaging System.
7. Ability to interpret insurance information and insurance cards.
8. Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of software systems.
9. Ability to complete a patient financial screening, to facilitate patient's needs, and financial reimbursement.
10. Participates in staff evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required and must be 19 years of age.

Work Environment
Shared office setting.
Exposure to noise.
Frequent use of computer, telephone, copier and scanner.
Physical Demands
1.Sit constantly.
2.Stand/walk frequently.
3.Lift floor to waist height 30 pounds occasionally; waist to waist 25 pounds occasionally; waist to overhead 20 pounds occasionally. And carry 10 pounds up to 25 feet occasionally.
4.Reach overhead frequently standing and turn reaching shoulder height while sitting frequently.
5.Fine motor coordination within normal limits for age and gender.
6.Constant computer use.
7.Visual acuity within normal limits.
