Lead Parent Engagement Liaison

Reports To: Building Principal

Category: Supplemental Stipend Assignment

Term: One (1) school year

Stipend: $10,000 per school year

Position Summary

The Lead Parent Engagement Liaison serves as a district-wide resource and lead for designated

parent and family engagement initiatives across Proviso Township High Schools District 209.

The assignment supports the coordination and implementation of consistent family engagement

efforts across District schools and programs and helps strengthen communication, participation,

and partnerships between families, schools, and the District.

This is a supplemental stipend assignment performed in addition to an employee's regular

responsibilities. It does not constitute a separate full-time position or establish supervisory

authority over other District employees.

Essential Job Functions

1. Serves as the district-wide lead and point of contact for designated parent and family

engagement initiatives across District schools and programs.

1. Coordinates the planning, organization, and implementation of assigned parent

engagement events, workshops, and informational sessions.

1. Develops and maintains a district-wide parent engagement calendar to promote

coordination, consistency, and communication of family engagement activities across

District schools.

1. Supports designated initiatives intended to increase family participation and strengthen

school-family partnerships.

1. Coordinates and supports parent and family engagement activities associated with Title I

and other applicable District programs, as directed.

1. Identifies and shares opportunities for families to access available school programs,

services, and community resources.

1. Facilitates communication and outreach efforts related to assigned parent engagement

initiatives.

1. Collects and maintains participation information and documentation related to designated

engagement activities.

1. Provides periodic updates regarding assigned activities, family participation, and

opportunities for improvement.

1. Completes designated district-wide parent engagement projects and other supplemental

responsibilities as assigned by the District Administrator/Designee.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience working with parents, families, schools, community organizations, or parent

engagement initiatives preferred.

• Knowledge of effective parent and family engagement strategies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with diverse families and school

personnel.

• Ability to organize activities, maintain appropriate records, and meet established

deadlines.

• Bilingual Spanish speaking, reading, and writing skills preferred.

Assignment and Supervisory Limitations

This is a non-tenure, extra-duty stipend assignment for a term of one school year. It is not subject

to continued renewal and may be discontinued at the District's discretion.

Responsibilities shall be performed in accordance with District expectations, applicable

collective bargaining agreements, and established payroll procedures.

Compensation

This supplemental assignment carries a stipend of $10,000 per school year.

The stipend compensates the assigned employee for designated supplemental responsibilities

beyond their regular position. The assignment does not change the employee's primary job

classification or establish supervisory authority over other District employees.
