Job Description

Sandvik Mining & Rock, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has 1 opening for Lead, Outbound Planner on our 1st shift at 8:30AM. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in Romeoville, IL office and two days remote.

The Lead, Outbound Planner is responsible for management of the customer order flow and is the interface with the Sales Areas for Supply Chain Logistics – North America

Main Responsibilities

Order processing

Daily release of customer orders and include the management of auto, mass and manual release orders

Daily review of suspended orders

Execute the cancellation of orders based on customer requests, superseded items, etc.

Working with Inventory, Purchasing or Warehouse teams to source items

Resolve order issues like incorrect addresses, shipping instructions, etc.

Aging management

Resolve any allocation problems on a daily basis, specifically suspended orders or cycle count problems

Daily review and resolution of outstanding orders where source change has to be done, where it is linked to PO or DRP or where an order needs to be placed

Weekly review of “Hold till complete” orders, where inventory has become available or where new PO or DRP has to be created

Logistics Process and Support (LPS)

Review and resolve LPS tickets relating to expediting of orders, shipment discrepancy etc. daily

Review Unit Down Orders and expedite accordingly on a daily basis

General

Daily resolution of sales orders that did not generate a Purchase Orders in SAP.

Only difference is replacing System 21 with SAP

Quarterly review and maintenance of Customer Masters

Weekly communication to internal/external customers regarding progress on all open orders

Responsible for the smooth delivery process from the order processing time to the full order delivery

Acts as point of contact between the logistics organization and the sales organizations

Order processing management and expediting

Backorder management. Exception handling and resolution

Ensure compliance with order to delivery process and policies

Communication to internal customers regarding status of all open orders

Experience

6 – 10 years’ experience in Warehousing/Operations/Supply Chain Environment EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business, Business Administration, or supply chain discipline.

Compensation  

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 dependent on experience, location, etc.
