The Lead Operator I reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

- - - Major Duties and Responsibilities
- -

- Follow all process documents and communicate identified differences between actual process and documentation. Report results in appropriate Quality Management System (QMS). Communicate and document non-conformances. Drive resolution of non-conformances through review of non-conforming orders for the work areas.
- Demonstrate ability to consistently manufacture products in alignment with defined output standards for the Lead Operator I role as measured by daily operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to production schedule through monitoring dispatch information and resolving gaps that would prevent adherence to schedule.
- Supports root cause analysis of performance variance to key metrics amongst team members and drives improvement actions.
- Leads development of team culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintain a positive attitude, display enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicate effectively and professionally with team members.
- Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing or performing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
- Fully qualified to operate multiple work areas independently, as defined by associated training documentation.
- Primary trainer for operators on qualified equipment/processes up to and including set-up training.
- Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
- Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in manufacturing is required. Typically, 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to read and understand process documents. Capable of explaining processes/procedures in to fit learning styles of trainee.

- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular and routine basis.
- Frequent bending and twisting required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by the process.
