Roska DBO is looking for a contract Lead Operator to work with our client in the Viking, Alberta area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of heavy oil wells and treating facilities in the production area. Candidates must be local to the area as there are no accommodations provided.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor heavy oil treating systems, separators, and treater vessels
• Lead field operators and coordinate daily production activities
• Oversee well optimization, facility maintenance, and regulatory compliance
• Manage production reporting, shutdowns, and maintenance coordination
• Mentor operators
• Work closely with engineering staff
• Strong commitment to safety

Qualifications

• 10+ years of oil and gas operations experience
• Extensive experience operating:
  • Heavy oil wells
  • Batteries and treating facilities
  • Separators and treater systems
  • Storage tanks and pipeline systems
• Strong understanding of:
  • Heavy oil production processes
  • Artificial lift systems
  • Well optimization
  • SCADA systems
  • Production reporting
  • Facility startup and shutdown procedures
• Experience supervising or mentoring operators and contractors
• Clean Class 5 Driver's License
• H2S Alive
• First Aid/CPR
• Operator with Truck and Tools preferred
