The Ministry of Jobs Economy, Trade and Immigration is looking for one Lead Investigator within the OHS Program Delivery Branch.
As a member of a multidisciplinary Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) team, the incumbent leads investigations into fatal and serious workplace incidents. This role is responsible for all aspects of an investigation from initial assignment and incident response to interviewing injured workers, families, or next of kin. Fatality and serious incident investigations are complex and require a forensic level of detail and analysis.

A university degree in a related field plus four years of recent occupational health and safety inspection and investigation experience is required.
Experience investigating fatal and serious workplace incidents is preferred.
Equivalencies such as a related diploma and six years of experience with the above may be considered.
The successful candidate must successfully complete the Peace Officer training program and be able to be designated as a Peace Officer by the Solicitor General.

One permanent full-time positions working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
