Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Lead Occupational Therapist for its client's Children & Families Team at Brent.

What will your responsibilities be?

As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the Social Care Occupational Therapy Service within Brent. This is a highly impactful position where your clinical expertise and leadership will directly influence the quality of support received by children and families across the borough.

  • Lead and manage a team of Social Care Occupational Therapists.
  • Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional development support.
  • Work directly with children and families to assess needs and deliver expert clinical advice.
  • Recommend appropriate equipment, home adaptations, and environmental modifications that enhance wellbeing and promote independence.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partner agencies to deliver coordinated, child‑focused interventions.
  • Contribute to improved outcomes for some of Brent’s most vulnerable young residents.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Experience working with children with disabilities within Social Care.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • The ability to lead, inspire, and support a team of Occupational Therapists.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across service boundaries.
  • A child‑centred approach and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, strengths‑based support.

Working Arrangements

This role offers hybrid working, with 3 days per week based in the office and the remainder from home, giving you the flexibility to balance clinical work, leadership responsibilities, and administrative tasks effectively.
