About the Opportunity
The Lead Nursery Systems Analyst is a P3-level role responsible for supporting critical DOTA Nursery systems, data processes, reporting, and technical issue resolution across Nursery, Finance, Distribution, and related teams.
This position provides Tier III support, troubleshooting, testing, bug tracking, reporting, process improvement, and technical bridge solutions. A key focus of the role is serving as the functional lead for the Support lane by coordinating day-to-day work, strengthening standards, mentoring colleagues, and creating reusable documentation and playbooks.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical experience with SQL, relational databases, Tableau, Excel PowerQuery, Microsoft Office/365, and troubleshooting methods. The role also requires strong communication, stakeholder influence, organizational skills, and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Support incoming Tier III requests for functionality and maintenance requests for DOTA Nursery systems.
- Perform triage assessment of escalated technical issues, technical troubleshooting, issue validation, and facilitate the request and incident process with Service Desk and other relevant teams in IS on behalf of end users.
- Serve as the functional lead for the Support lane of the operating model by helping coordinate day-to-day support execution, reinforce ownership, improve follow-through, and elevate consistency in how work is handled across the team.
- Lead efforts to identify, scope, design, and implement new technology projects from a Business perspective.
- Facilitate and/or participate in technical end user testing for Nursery systems development and implementations, bug fixes, and reports.
- Manage the bug tracking process for Business-led testing efforts.
- Using an intermediate to advanced level technical background, provide creative and thoughtful solutions to help reduce complexities and increase efficiencies with existing processes and functionality.
- Provide governance and process guidance for maintaining master data and product details in inventory system of record and other related systems.
- Utilize Tableau and other reporting tools to support advanced reporting needs within the Business teams.
- Utilize relevant feedback from users and colleagues to develop and implement process improvement strategies, improve prioritization of incoming requests, and strengthen customer-service-based support practices across the Nursery Systems team.
- Act as a force multiplier by creating reusable documentation, playbooks, support standards, and practical guidance that enable others to execute work more effectively and with less dependency on individual tribal knowledge.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience by mentoring, coaching, sharing context, and helping raise capability across systems, support workflows, and stakeholder engagement.
- Influence stakeholders and colleagues through clear communication, sound judgment, and strong translation between technical and non-technical audiences, especially in situations requiring alignment, tradeoff discussion, or adoption of a different point of view.
- Research and learn new technology as needed to support Nursery systems and applications for current and future use.
- Responsible for managing activities in collaboration with DOTA Nursery teams, end-users of DOTA Nursery systems, and customers of related data to accomplish planned growth.
- Contributes to the Business Unit’s people priorities and objectives regarding: people leader effectiveness, engaged employees, and enabling others to perform.
Candidate Profile
- Must have one of the following: B.A./B.S. in Business Administration or other technical field and 2+ years of equivalent experience, 5+ years of equivalent experience, or a combination of post-high-school education and 3-5 years of experience is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish capability required
- Well-versed in communicating between technical and non-technical parties to facilitate alignment and understanding.
- Experience leading small projects or functional workstreams with manageable risks and resource requirements, working in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with process improvement concepts and ability to effectively propose and implement change
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Experienced with relational databases and an intermediate to advanced level ability to use standard query language (SQL) to efficiently extract data through various reporting and querying tools.
- Possesses an intermediate level of programming skills to support technical bridge solutions developed within the Business..
- Well-versed with technical troubleshooting methods, escalation paths, and bug fix testing.
- Expecience delivering technology implementation
- Strong proficiency with reporting tools such as Tableau, Excel PowerQuery, and others.
- Experience in agicultural or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience working with ESRI or other geospatial tools is preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to influence stakeholders
- California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program
Domestic and international travel required up to 25%.

The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.
Salary Range estimated for the Lead Nursery Systems Analyst: $87,430 to $113,660 USD.
