The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic management technologies that span Visa’s private data center and public cloud environments with an emphasis on CDN, DNS, load balancing and proxy solutions.
We are looking for a hands-on individual with extensive knowledge in traffic management, automation, and infrastructure as code technology including knowledge of applicable cloud native solutions, methodologies, standards, products, and frameworks. The ideal candidate would assist in the definition of the architecture, capturing functional requirements, preparing estimates, and developing technical solutions for Visa’s traffic management technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to combine architecture definition with hands-on development work as part of providing guidance to project teams on design and deployment related activities.
The successful candidate will work with Operations and Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Product Development teams to define solutions for application delivery that will enable the use of hybrid cloud infrastructure to meet the challenges of technology, regulatory, security, and competitive conditions. The Lead Network Engineer is a technologist with demonstrated experience and interest in network and application traffic management, public cloud, CDN, cloud native design and application transformation/modernization. The candidate should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.
The Lead Network Cloud Engineer provides senior technical leadership in several network engineering areas of expertise and is responsible for developing and executing new initiatives to drive growth, reduce cost, increase reliability and increase global synergy for Visa’s networks. They will collaborate with other functional and technology leaders to define and execute business priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $173,100.00 to $ 276,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
