Job Description

The Lead Patient Representative is responsible for coordinating front-end patient access functions within the MRI department, ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, and authorization processes. This role supports efficient departmental workflow, promotes data integrity, and enhances the patient experience while providing day-to-day guidance and oversight to Patient Representatives.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum: High School education or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

Experience

Minimum: Two years previous Patient Access or Patient Financial Services experience. Knowledge of insurance and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology to include CPT and ICD10. Experience with front end collections. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred: Previous leadership experience

Other

Minimum: Strong written and verbal communication and organization skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
