Job Description

The MES Lead is the internal system owner for the manufacturing execution system (MES). The position is accountable for recipe and workflow configuration, electronic batch record design, functional support of daily production, and technical ownership of the MES vendor engagement.

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain master recipes, control recipes, and phase logic in the MES platform
  • Design and maintain electronic batch records, including review by exception configuration
  • Configure the equipment model, material handling, and order management workflows
  • Maintain downtime codes, work instructions, and process parameter definitions
  • Maintain user roles, access rights, and segregation of duties within the application
  • Execute all configuration changes under formal change control
  • Author and maintain functional specifications, test scripts, and validation evidence
  • Maintain audit trail and electronic records configuration to regulatory expectation
  • Support internal audits, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection readiness, and periodic system review
  • Maintain the MES portion of the system inventory and interface catalog
  • Serve as first line functional support for MES issues raised from the floor
  • Triage and resolve configuration issues, escalating defects to the MES vendor
  • Support batch record exception resolution and data correction under procedure
  • Train and support superusers in Operations and Quality
  • Serve as technical owner of MES vendor task orders and deliverables
  • Review and accept vendor deliverables against functional specification
  • Identify work that should transition from the MES vendor to internal execution
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • The skills required for this role are typically demonstrated by 7 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of MES functional configuration specific experience
  • Hands on recipe authoring and electronic batch record design experience
  • Experience working under formal change control and computer system validation
  • Demonstrated experience owning an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to MES integration
  • U.S. person status
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted site access
  • Experience with one or more MES platforms, such as SAP (SAP Digital Manufacturing or SAP ME), Rockwell FactoryTalk PharmaSuite or ProductionCentre, Siemens Opcenter, Werum PAS-X, Emerson Syncade, or AVEVA MES, preferred
  • Experience supporting a system through initial startup and qualification preferred

Location: 151 Lafayette Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830

Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office

Travel Expectations: up to 10-25% as needed

Hours: Standard office schedule are 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

$132,500 - $155,000
