Performs, evaluates, records and reports clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients on a variety of body fluids and biological specimens. Assist immediate supervisor by accepting responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the assigned area. May provide oversight of staff as directed or required and in compliance with regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Laboratory Science Required or
• permitted by NYS Department of Education as a Medical Technologist Required
• Six (6) years of Medical Technologist experience Required
• Completion of one (1) year training in an approved Medical Technology program or equivalent as per New York State Department of Health Standards and Laws.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Clinical Laboratory Technician - New York State Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology Required
• MT (ASCP) Preferred
