Summary (

Summary of the basic functions of the position)
This role leads the work of Medical Assistants and others in the clinical operation of a patient care
setting. Performs duties required to assist health care professionals in the examination and treatment of
patients, such as preparation of the patient and environment, conducting basic laboratory and medical
tests, care of the patient post-treatment, and patient education.
SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions)
- Must adhere to job description of General Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN
- Train Medical Assistants and others; serve as a resource to other clinical staff.
- Maintain appropriate log books and records according to company’s policies and procedures, such as pregnancy test logs, refrigerator logs, etc.
- Inventory and assess equipment, instruments, and supplies for clinical teams
- Inventory sample closets monthly
- Be prepared for emergencies, follow facility’s plans to notify appropriate staff, and be familiar with emergency equipment

QualificationsSECTION 3: Experience Requirements
- One (1)+ year dermatology experience in a medical setting, preferred
SECTION 4: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, required.
- Basic knowledge of medical billing coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, required
- Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, medications and instruments
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
- Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
- Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs
- - Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving
- Basic to intermediate computer operation
- - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
