BASIC FUNCTION
This position is responsible for supporting Sales Executives or Account Management Executives with the prospecting, acquiring or renewing of business as well as training/mentoring a minimum of five Marketing Service Reps within the department. Will support management including leading or participating in special projects/initiatives and resolving client concerns in a timely and professional manner while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned brokers, agents or agency partners. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of insurance products and excels at both relationship management and marketing execution.

NOTE: this role is HYBRID/FLEX and requires in-office visibility three days per week, working from home the other two days. Relocation will not be offered; sponsorship will not be extended either now or in the future.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) years of work experience as a health care management Marketing Service Representative OR five (5) years of experience in combination of sales/marketing/health insurance experience involving processing and coordination of services for health care clients.
  • Knowledge of group health insurance products, comparing benefits, and implementation processes.
  • Possess Life & Health state health insurance licenses or obtain Life & Health state health insurance licenses for the specific state of operations within 90 days of starting in role.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact professionally with both internal and external contacts.
  • High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with sales databases.

~ KEY FUNCTIONS ~

  • Support Sales Executive(s) to assist in prospecting and acquiring new business.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with consultants, brokers, and new clients/customer representatives.
  • Evaluate the initial RFP and create a summary including benefits, population, size, location and what reporting is available and submit RFP to Underwriting.
  • Determine what we can/can't administer and make recommendations on plan design, funding, and network options.
  • Gather data, create, maintain, and/or verify databases. Create or prepare reports.
  • Respond to questions from prospect and their consultant/broker regarding benefit information and available benefit options.
  • During implementation process, manage the process in transitioning benefits from carrier we are replacing to the HCSC Automated Benefits Summary and identify differences (will coordinate this activity with Sales Executive for unique and custom accounts).
  • Work with internal HCSC partners to identify standards, ranges, filings, and coding’s ability to move members to HCSC. Coordinate this activity with Sales Executive for unique and custom accounts.
  • During the implementation process, conduct benefit review with the group.
  • Maintain knowledge of HCSC and Dearborn products and our competitors’ products and how to differentiate and translate differences as part of the implementation process.
  • May lead or participate in special projects/initiatives.
  • May include some travel.
  • Must maintain life and health insurance general agent licenses.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range

$55,900.00 - $123,500.00
