Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Perception

Your Role
- Responsibility for industrialization of Cockpit & Growth products from award phases until series production
- Support kick-off meetings and MSD workshops with/in the PML, create/adapt process flow. Drive DFM and DFA to ensure having a producible design
- Ensure proper requirements management and align with APTIV CAQE accordingly, plan requirements transfer to PML
- Align industrialization deliverables with CAQE, being customer interface for technical discussion
- Work out the production line concept with optimized material flow, estimated cycle times, and traceability concept. Work out supplier packaging requirements
- Attend the regular PDT meetings and drive a proper escalation in case of problems
- Create and maintain the MFGE project schedule respecting the project milestones
- Prepare and organize the milestone build dates with process engineers from PML, starting with early prototype builds and organization of needed prototype equipment, including documentation
- Attend key (prototype) build events for new layouts and all customer attended events
- Track needed equipment and tooling, ensure availability of needed material for all equipment/tool development, install equipment/design reviews before approving start of fabrication/development
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar with technical education
- Overall Exp 8 to 15 Years
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive industry, preferred in manufacturing engineering
- Excellent project management skills
- Good problem solving capability
- Ability to work and live a global network environment
- Great knowledge of lean concepts
- Strong team spirit
- Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive working style
- Business fluent Englishsupervision. Willingness to learn and develop expertise in existing and future manufacturing processes
