
The Lead Maintenance Worker oversees and performs maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. They also lead and mentor other maintenance staff, ensuring quality work and adherence to safety standards. This is a working lead position who performs duties as a maintenance worker. Is required to be on-call based on hospital needs.

Job Requirements
Education and/or Licensure – High School degree (or equivalent). Years of experience can be substituted for education requirements.
Experience - General 3 years’ experience with plumbing and air conditioning with experience in repairs and maintenance preferably in a commercial or Healthcare environment.
Additional Requirements – Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and complete de-escalation training prior to completing orientation. Must be available for on-call; weekend, day, and night shifts as assigned.

· Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.
· Must be able to consistently meet deadlines; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs.
· Flexibility to work closely with patients and staff in a caring and supportive style with the ability to maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer services interactions.
· General knowledge and understanding of safety procedures.
· Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential
· General knowledge of a work order system; assign work orders staff, close, etc.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

· Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and be able to perceive the attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, and/or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips.

· While worker may possibly be subjected to temperature changes, the worker is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside.

· Category 2 Job may expose incumbent occasionally or in emergency situations to blood, body fluids, and non-intact skin or tissue specimens.
· Category 3 Job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and non-intact skin or tissue specimens. Incumbent does not perform or help in emergency medical care or first aid as part of his/her job.
