Work Shift

Day (United States of America)

This is a lead skilled position, primarily responsible for all painting maintenance in buildings and assigned areas using supplied materials as required. Carries out duties both independently and as a team member on specific assigned projects. Must be able to work in a hospital environment and complete assigned projects while providing quality along with customer service. Coordinates department repairs with the least amount of impact on patient care. Assists in the development and training of Maintenance Technicians. Performs in a lead role on assigned projects.

What you will do

  • Complies with safety policies and procedures by attending OSHA required section safety meetings, attending annual safety updates, practicing safe work procedures, encouraging and promoting a safe working environment. 20%
  • Performs painting maintenance tasks: assists with inspections for painting needs; patches walls for paint applications; primes walls for paint application; applies paint product. Must have the ability to brush/roll paint and mix paint. Maintains all assigned equipment and tools. 20%
  • Maintains and completes required paperwork by completing a daily log and entering all requests into PDA. Completes routine and P.M. work orders timely and submits all work request daily tasks. 20%
  • Performs carpentry maintenance tasks: installs cove base, corner guards; caulks sinks, hangs pictures, files, bulletin boards, etc; installs ceiling tile; cleans vents; changes lamps. 20%
  • Performs housekeeping duties in assigned areas such as maintaining a clean working environment in all mechanical and electrical closets. Ensures all work areas are left clean and free of debris at all times. 20%

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED General Required and
  • Minimum 3 years in painting. Required
  • GADL - Georgia Driver's License
  • VSDL - Valid State Driver's License
