Job Description

KPM is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician based in Houston, TX 77080.

As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in managing maintenance operations for our Houston properties. You will lead a dedicated maintenance team to ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained, while delivering excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for residential properties in Houston.
Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
Schedule and prioritize work orders ensuring timely and efficient completion.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and implement preventative measures.
Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance work.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Provide strong leadership and training to maintenance staff to enhance team performance.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize resident disruption.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certifications preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general property maintenance.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation to property sites.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.
