Job Description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to provide senior-level logistics leadership and sustainment support for classified government and defense programs. The selected candidate will serve as the Lead Logistics Manager responsible for overseeing logistics operations, supply chain management, asset accountability, transportation coordination, inventory management, and lifecycle sustainment activities supporting mission-critical operations.

This position will lead logistics planning and execution efforts across multiple operational locations while serving as the primary logistics interface between government customers, program leadership, subcontractors, and support personnel. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing logistics operations within secure environments and supporting operational readiness requirements for complex government programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage logistics operations supporting government and defense programs, ensuring mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee inventory management, supply chain activities, warehousing, transportation coordination, and asset accountability across multiple operational locations.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, sustainment plans, and operational support procedures to meet program requirements.
  • Serve as the primary logistics liaison between government customers, program leadership, subcontractors, and support personnel.
  • Direct property management activities including equipment tracking, inventory control, audits, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and operational support.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, material forecasting, resource planning, and deployment support requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government property management regulations, transportation requirements, security procedures, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare logistics reports, operational briefings, status updates, and executive-level presentations for leadership and customers.
  • Develop SOP’s, adjusting them with the support of other leadership when required
  • Lead, train, and work jointly with team members to accomplish tasks necessary to fulfill customer, corporate, and manager requirements.
  • Manage all shipping and receiving efforts in accordance with SOP’s and regulatory compliance for specially handled equipment such as COMSEC, classification, sensitive/fragile, and ESD.
  • Coordinate with the Property Team cyclic and sensitive items inventories for all Government Furnished Property

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience managing logistics, supply chain, inventory control, transportation, or sustainment operations within government or defense environments.
  • Experience leading logistics teams and coordinating multi-site operational support activities.
  • Knowledge of government property accountability, inventory management systems, transportation coordination, and logistics planning principles.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or classified operational programs.
  • Familiarity with government property management systems, logistics databases, and ERP platforms such as SAP, DPAS, or similar systems.
  • Experience utilizing Sprocket to manage and track property
  • Experience supporting deployment operations, field logistics, or contingency sustainment activities.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition, shipping, packaging, hazardous material handling, and transportation compliance requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), PMP, or related certifications.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
