💼 Reports To: Program Supervisor | Manager | Director

💰 Pay Range: $26.00–$27.50/Hour

The base hourly range for this position is $26-$27.50 for employees hired in the Central Valley, CA. The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired within the Central Valley region. Candidates hired in Southern California or Bay Area locations may have higher starting salaries due to cost of living and market data differences. The Lead Life Coach provides direct coaching and support services to program participants while serving as a trusted mentor, resource, and subject matter expert for the Life Coach team. This role maintains a reduced participant caseload to allow dedicated time for coaching, guiding, and supporting staff in the delivery of high-quality services, implementation of best practices, and achievement of program goals.

As a Lead Life Coach with Aspiranet, you will function as a day-to-day support partner, offering guidance, modeling effective engagement strategies, assisting with problem-solving, and promoting consistency in service delivery. While this position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, it plays a key leadership role in fostering a collaborative, strengths-based team culture and supporting professional growth among Life Coaches.

Working closely with the Program Director, the Lead Life Coach helps ensure program quality, compliance with agency and contractual requirements, and the creation of a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for participants and staff.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Your Skills and Duties

Team Leadership & Staff Support

  • Support and mentor a team of 3+ Life Coaches through guidance, coaching, and skill development.
  • Serve as a lead resource for daily program operations and participant support.
  • Partner with the Program Director to address program needs and maintain service continuity.
  • Provide case coverage, consultation, and support during staff absences up to 12 cases max.
  • Model trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strength-based practices.
  • Assist with training, support, and implementation of program expectations.

Participant Support & Case Management

  • Maintain a reduced caseload and provide individualized case management services.
  • Conduct participant intakes, assessments, orientations, and service planning.
  • Support participants in achieving goals related to housing stability, employment, education, and independent living.
  • Facilitate youth/team meetings, crisis support, conflict resolution, and advocacy services.
  • Assist participants with housing transitions, move-ins, transportation, and access to community resources.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide coaching and life skills support.

Compliance & Program Operations

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with agency, licensing, HIPAA, funding, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support program accountability by reinforcing policies, procedures, and participant expectations.
  • Monitor housing and program environments to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and grievances in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Utilize databases and reporting systems to track participant outcomes and program performance.

Administrative & Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, training, and agency initiatives.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities and documentation within required timelines.
  • Support program development, quality improvement efforts, and special projects assigned.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, ethical standards, and effective communication at all times.
  • Uphold organizational values and demonstrate commitment to collaborative teamwork and participant-centered care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field, and at least two (2) years of experience working with children and/or transition-age youth, including knowledge of the foster care system; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field, and at least three (3) years of experience working with children and/or transition-age youth, including knowledge of the foster care system, with an approved exception as permitted by applicable licensing regulations.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and experience responding to behavioral challenges. Ability to remain calm under pressure, establish and maintain appropriate boundaries, and provide effective de-escalation and crisis intervention support.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Meets all state and licensing requirements for employment in a licensed Community Care Facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.
