The Lean Leader is responsible for supporting Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost improvements within assigned production areas (CoE) through execution of roadmap actions, follow-up of Kaizen activities, and implementation of Lean tools and methods. The role supports progress toward Value Stream target conditions by helping eliminate safety risks, improving quality, and supporting flow, WIP, and lead time reduction initiatives. The Lean Leader coordinates and teaches Daily Management System, Standard Work, Pull System, 5S, and other Lean methods to support the plant’s Lean transformation.
• Coordinate Kaizen events according to Roadmap schedule
• Follow up on roadmap actions and support Kaizen implementation in production areas (CoE)
• Lead Lean improvement projects within assigned scope from definition through implementation and follow-up
• Support the implementation of Lean Production System elements
• Support development and sustainment of the Lean Daily Management System in production areas (CoE) and related functions
• Lead Lean improvement projects within assigned scope from definition through implementation and follow-up
• Support WIP and lead time reduction initiatives through flow-oriented improvements and pull-system implementation in assigned areas (CoE)
• Support rework reduction and process improvement efforts through preventive quality countermeasures and problem-solving activities
• Deliver Lean classroom training and on-the-job coaching to operators, operation leaders, and support functions
• Plant Roadmap execution in production areas (CoE)
• Follow up on Kaizen sustainment, monitor results, and escalate issues
• Lead and support Kaizen teams in line with Plant Roadmap
• Coordinate daily project routines and follow-up activities to help ensure milestone deadlines are achieved
• Ensure Lean tools such as Standard Work, 5S, and Daily Management are properly applied and sustained in the defined area
• Maintain visibility of project status, risks, delays, and support needs, and communicate them to the relevant leaders
• Work with production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and support teams to remove barriers to implementation
• Drive Lean activities and improvement actions within assigned areas
• Engage team members and cross-functional partners in Kaizen events and daily improvement activities
• Promote Lean culture through coaching, training, and Genba presence across the organization
• Execute improvement actions and escalate barriers impacting implementation or sustainment
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college Engineering field of study
• Fluent English & Hungarian language (written and spoken )
• Hands-on experience in Lean implementation and shopfloor improvement activities in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work effectively with teams and support a high-involvement culture
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and support projects in a fast-paced environment
• Credibility and ability to influence through collaboration and coaching
