Leads assigned members of the linen services team in collecting, washing, and distributing clean linens and apparel for assigned areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

1. One (1) year of laundry experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

1. Monitors laundry activities in assigned area(s) to ensure proper cleaning, servicing and stocking of supplies, the completion of work schedules and supervisory instructions; reporting problems as necessary.
2. Performs laundry duties including, but not limited to, collecting soiled linens, processing tasks, laundry cleaning, and delivery.
3. Ensures all supplies, materials and equipment are available in assigned work area for proper performance of duties.
4. Trains attendants on following all sanitation and infection control guidelines.
5. Assist in training employees in proper techniques and use of supplies, materials and equipment.

1. Position requires Sitting, Standing, Bending, Lifting, and Moving around facility.
2. Ability to lift 50 lbs and push a minimum of 125 lbs.
3. Ability to push and pull heavy, wet linen and move equipment and supplies throughout the work day.
4. Must be able to wear latex, vinyl, neoprene, and rubber gloves when performing certain Laundry duties.

1. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids and different types of cleaning and laundry chemicals.

2. Must be able to communicate with other employees and patients in a proper manner.
3. Knows the procedures for infection control.
