Entegris is seeking aGlobalLab Quality Engineerto overseequality aspects ofMaterials Solutions QC labswith a focus on slurriesand slurry related productsThis role is primarily responsible forensuring MS QC labs are following EntegrisQualityandgood laboratorypractices. This positioncan be either US (Aurora) or Asia Pacific (Korea, Taiwan) based.
In this role you will:
TheLab Quality Engineer’srole is toimplement methods acrossMaterials SolutionQClabs. The role is a cross functional role that requires interactions with all levels of the organization including customers and suppliers. This role requires an individual thathas a strong quality mindset,is internally motivated,canwork independently andcannavigate a constantly changing and sometime ambiguous landscape.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with MS QC labs toensure methods(POR and new)adhere to ourbest-knownmethods
Reviewnewmethod plans and results to ensure all parameters are passing
When needed transfer methods from existingfactories to new onesand trainchemists as neededwith the goal of reducing changes made from site to site
Support planning process for QC labs in new factories
SupportBU andCQEswith data packagesneeded for new products,PCNs, AMLC etc.
Be voice of the labwith regardtodata that is shared with customers.
Assist labs in implementing controls that will improveand reduce trouble shooting efforts.
Develop training for labs on quality assurance practicesregardingdata analysis and interpretation.
Facilitate end-user training and provide on-going support
Audit and Evaluate Labmethods for consistency and best-known methodology.
Improvelaboratory consistency and quality ISO compliance by creating and revising laboratory policies and procedures
Ensure Quality CAPA’s are sharedand implemented across the division.
Support audits(internal and external)asneeded.
Support ISO-17025 program at labs that hold this accreditation and implement wherebusinessrequires.
Work closely with ourQC lab managersand chemists,Customer Quality, Material Quality and Quality Systems personnelas well as with our customers both internal and external.
Enable quality initiatives as they relate to the customer, corporate objectives, quality planning, the quality policy, process improvement and new business goals and objectives.
Traits
Bachelor of Sciencein chemistry, physics or engineeringor related fieldrequired,M.S. orPh.D.preferred;
Solid knowledge of analytical chemistry, materials science & physics, and familiarity with semiconductor device materials, structures, andmetrology.
Knowledge of lab instruments(HPLC, IC, GC, ICP-MS, ICP-AES, AFM, SEM/FIB, FTIR,Particle Characterization,Accusizer,FXNano)operations anddata analysisrequired.
Good workingKnowledge ofISO 17025,and90001standards
Familiarity withGood Lab Practices andGood Manufacturing Practices
Proficientin data analysis, statistical methods and quality management systems.
Knowledge ofproper controls for analytical instrumentation,SPC, stability, accuracy,variation,and method uncertainty,GR&Rand correlation and matching
Understands customer quality requirements andexpectations and works to meet those goals
Hands on experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solvingmethodology.
Prior experience managing laboratory services in a chemical / gas manufacturing environment preferred. Familiar with handling corrosives and air-sensitive chemistries (liquid and solid materials) in support of three major product lines (Deposition, Cleans and CMP).
Ability to wear the required PPE when working in the labs (safety glasses, face shields, lab coat, steel toe boots, etc.)
Knowledge of softwaresystems used in analytical laboratories preferred (LIMS,chromatography software,JMPetc.)
Prior experience managing people and working w/global teams
Excellent communication,documentation,andproblem-solvingskills.
Strong English speaker
Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills are required
Flexibility and self-initiative required to support several simultaneous projects
Ability to work effectively with cross-functionalteams.
Ability to travel up to 25%, some international.
This rolerequires calls outside of typical business hours.
