Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Lead Joint Venture Auditor to join our Houston-based Accounting organization. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, conducting, and supporting joint venture audits across Crescent's operated and non-operated asset portfolio. The role will serve as the primary liaison for partner and operator audit activities, including hosting audits of Crescent-operated properties and conducting audits of third-party operators to ensure compliance with Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), COPAS Accounting Procedures, revenue distribution requirements, and other contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of upstream oil and gas accounting and audit experience, including significant experience with COPAS audits, joint interest billing reviews, and revenue audits. This role requires a collaborative professional capable of partnering effectively with Joint Venture Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Production Accounting, Land, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to identify, quantify, and resolve audit exceptions while maintaining productive relationships with partners and operators.
This position reports to the Operations Accounting Supervisor.
