Social Enterprise Janitorial Lead-II Opportunity at Toolworks

Toolworks, a reputable human service agency dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, is currently seeking a passionate Social Enterprise Janitorial Lead-II to join our team. In a supportive work environment for people with disabilities, this position provides support to individuals and completes cleaning and maintenance tasks per contract and customer specifications.

Wages: $21.81-$25.00 Per Hour
Employment Type: Non-exempt, Hourly, Part-time and Full-Time positions available
Work Location: San Francisco

In a supportive work environment for people with disabilities, the Social Enterprise (SE) Janitor Lead-II provides support for individuals and completes cleaning and maintenance tasks per contract and customer specifications.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support to employees with disabilities at the job site to help ensure assigned tasks are completed.
  • Responsible for various cleaning duties including: mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, removal of waste, and other standard tasks.
  • Continued maintenance and upkeep as required by specific site location.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with prescribed regulations and policies.
  • Special projects as directed by Supervisor/Coach.
  • Maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience or desire for training in office cleaning such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and general cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Must meet AbilityOne program eligibility requirements, as applicable to the position.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check, if required for the position and consistent with applicable law.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently while managing time effectively.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on site and customer needs.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Expectations

  • Work is performed at customer job sites and may include indoor and outdoor environments, depending on assignment.
  • Work may be performed in busy public areas with frequent contact with members of the public.
  • Frequent movement throughout the assigned worksite to complete cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Regular interaction with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and supported workers with disabilities.
  • Travel between multiple job sites during the workday.
  • Ability to safely work in wet, slippery, dusty, or unsanitary conditions.
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, waste, and wet or slippery surfaces.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, push, and pull.
  • Ability to use hands repetitively for grasping, wiping, scrubbing, lifting, and handling tools and supplies.
  • Ability to push or pull cleaning equipment, trash, and supply loads consistent with the duties of the position.
