What you will do:
The position of Lead Interventional/ Vascular Tech, under the direction of the Radiologist, Medical Staff and management performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventional/ pain management procedures.
Provides and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by administering and adhering to all applicable safety policies and procedures, by utilizing all necessary and appropriate equipment and/or resources to assure compliance with regard to safety (including providing emergency medical notifications and services), infection control, hazard material management and risk management issues.
Maintains all equipment, supplies, work and common public areas in a neat, organized and clean manner as reasonably achievable.
Role models profession behavior. Resolves staffing conflicts. Creates daily and on call schedules.
Provides proper supervision and guidance to all staff and students, in a positive and progressively educating manner.
Demonstrates consistency and appropriateness in all basic clerical functions as necessary, including telephone etiquette, information systems management, report retrieval and assisting al Medial Staff as necessary. Displays proficiency and competency in all image processing/archiving and electronic image management devices. To include but not limited to the following: PACS/Synapse, Power scribe, Epic.
Assist/or independently transports patient to/or from department as to prevent any needless patient delays.
Responsible for providing all pertinent clinical information to interpreting physicians via paper/electronic record, as gathered from: patient interview, referring physician, past exam history, etc.
Demonstrates competency in documentation of all billable procedure codes with electronic documentation and communication with Radiologists.
Participates in the creation and implementation of a “team” structured and supported call rotation.
Takes initiative to perform all tasks without assistance.
Participates in reviewing patient supplies and exams to ensure proper billing, inventory, and records. Can perform EMR chart billing corrections for posted/unposted logs and work ques.

What you will need:
The Lead Interventional/ Vascular Tech requires the successful completion of a formal Radiological Technologist training program at an ARRT approved school.
Must be currently licensed by the New York State Department of Health in Diagnostic
Radiography. All Lead Interventional/ Vascular Technologist are required to be currently registered by the ARRT.
The lead Interventional Technologist must have a minimum of 5 years interventional radiology experience.
BLS required within 30 days of hire. Vascular or cardiac certification required.
Pay Range: $43.70- $59.11
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
