Job Description

Lead Industry Experts act as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring that teams are successful in driving large-scale BFSI transformation initiatives. In this role, you will bring a strategic and domain-driven mindset to programs and spend time collaborating with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape and execute digital banking solutions. Having a balance of high-level program thinking and hands-on business analysis capabilities is essential, as you will work closely with clients, delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

• You will drive program-level initiatives across digital banking and corporate banking transformation engagements
• You will apply deep BFSI domain expertise across areas such as Deposits, Lending, Payments, SME and Corporate Banking
• You will oversee or take part in the entire cycle of consulting and delivery engagements from discovery and ideation to execution and evolution
• You will collaborate with business, technology and design stakeholders to define user journeys, process flows and functional requirements
• You will work hands-on on business analysis activities including requirement gathering, backlog shaping, process mapping and user story definition
• You will contribute to solution development and help shape pragmatic approaches that solve client problems while balancing business and technology constraints
• You will engage with senior business and technology stakeholders to align on transformation goals and delivery outcomes
• You will use and advocate for AI-assisted tools and modern approaches for user journey creation and prototyping, including tools such as V0.dev
• You will contribute domain inputs for transformation initiatives, proactive pursuits, RFIs/RFPs and solution accelerators where required
• You will mentor and support business analysts and cross-functional teams in BFSI domain and consulting practices
• You will cultivate Thoughtworker growth and development by encouraging feedback and fostering an inclusive, supportive team culture

Job qualifications

Domain & Consulting Skills

• You have 10-15 years of experience in the BFSI domain, with strong exposure to Corporate Banking
• You possess deep understanding of banking processes including Payments, Lending, Deposits and Transaction/Corporate Banking
• You have experience working on large-scale digital transformation programs in banking environments
• You bring a mix of domain expertise and hands-on delivery/practitioner experience
• You are comfortable working with and influencing business stakeholders, SMEs, analysts and program teams
• You have strong business analysis capabilities including user journey mapping, requirement gathering and process definition
• You have experience working in client-facing consulting or transformation roles
• Bonus points if you have experience working with Indian or global banks, fintechs or consulting organizations
• Bonus points if you have exposure to emerging technology trends and digital transformation initiatives in the banking industry

• You have experience influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across complex programs
• You bridge business and technology by translating business needs into structured solution approaches
• You have the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• You are resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
• You will act as a mentor for less experienced peers through both your domain expertise and consulting mindset
• You bring strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills

Onsite Work Expectation

You may be expected to work out of our Thoughtworks office or at our client's office location for all five working days of the week, depending on business or clients’ needs.
