The Mold Remediation Technician will meet with interested clients to inspect their homes/business spaces, discuss the results, and inform them of remediation options.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loads/unloads supplies/equipment into and from vehicles, cleans and returns materials and equipment to proper storage areas.
  • Drives and operates a company van equipped with cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies to the work site.
  • Assists in placing air movers and dehumidifiers in proper room locations to remove moisture from carpet, upholstery, and air.
  • Performs basic demo tasks—cutting drywall, removing baseboards, and various flooring material, sprays fungicide and other materials.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, treats property and contents with respect and care and brings any issues or customer concerns to the job leader.
  • Follows proper safety practices, wears personal protective equipment as appropriate (gloves, respirators, Tyvek Suit) while working.
  • Maintains clean and organized vehicle, equipment, and job site
  • This position is responsible for evaluating Client properties to determine indoor environmental issues and formulating solutions.
  • -Advanced Estimating skills
  • -Level 3 Xactimate Certification
  • -Ability to check remediation work, consult Technicians and apply IICRC S520 Standard to remediation situations.
  • -Ability to check remediation work, consult Technicians and apply IICRC S500 Standard to water mitigation standards.
  • -Clear understanding of GHS protocol, products, techniques and overall vision of GHS of Central WA
  • -Impeccable communication and follow up ability with Clients.
  • -Ability to teach GHS/IICRC protocol, standards and vision to new Inspectors and Technicians.
  • -Perform Commercial and Industrial IEP Consultations
  • -ACAC Accreditation Required- CIEC
  • -ACAC Accreditation Required- CMI
  • -IICRC WRT Certification
  • -IICRC AMRT Certification
  • -IICRC Fire Restoration Certification
  • -Thermography Certification (Min Level 3)
  • -Home Energy Audit Certification
  • -GHS Certification Required (Refresher and update-Yearly)

  • High school education, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and access to dependable transportation.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs., carry equipment up/downstairs.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal skills.
  • Professional manner and team oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience and/or certifications in the disaster restoration industry a plus but not required.
