Job Description

Step into a career with ASM, where cutting edge technology meets collaborative culture.

For over 55 years ASM has been ahead of what’s next, at the forefront of innovation and what’s technologically possible. With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving.  But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

Job's mission

Safeguard operational resilience by identifying, assessing, mitigating, and escalating risks across supply, manufacturing, workforce, and critical dependencies to maintain continuity, agility, and service performance under changing business conditions.

Define the future state resilience model, operating principles, and risk controls that strengthen ASM’s ability to absorb disruption, respond at speed, and adapt through demand cycles, supply volatility, and network changes.

Own the governance of key risk indicators, thresholds, and early warning signals, and drive timely countermeasures that reduce exposure, improve recovery readiness, and support informed business decisions.

What you will be working on

  • Identify, assess, and monitor key operational risks across our global supply chain.
  • Define and maintain the operational resilience framework, including risk taxonomy, governance, thresholds, and escalation paths for critical disruptions.
  • Own Key Risk Indicators, trigger points, and early warning signals to provide timely visibility into emerging risk and resilience gaps.
  • Drive countermeasures and risk reduction actions to contain exposure, improve recovery readiness, and strengthen continuity of operations.
  • Reduce footprint risk by defining cross site qualification strategies, backup capabilities, and recovery options for critical operations.
  • Reduce supply risk through resilient sourcing, supplier segmentation, network strategies, and logistics contingency approaches.
  • Define the future state operating footprint and location strategy to improve resilience, flexibility, and responsiveness to business cycles and network shifts.
  • Establish operating principles and standards that enable the business to absorb volatility and respond quickly to rapid changes in demand, supply, and capacity.
  • Track external events, market signals, and dependency changes that could affect operational stability, supply continuity, or location risk exposure.
  • Escalate material and emerging risks to the Operations Leadership Team with clear business impact, recommended actions, and decision requirements.
  • Lead scenario based risk reviews and resilience planning for severe but plausible disruptions to validate readiness and improve response effectiveness.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; semiconductor industry experience or equivalent high-tech complex manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, business continuity, risk management, or operational resilience within a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and drive measurable improvements in quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

What sets you apart

  • Certification in relevant Risk/BCP practices (e.g., ISO 31000, ISO 22301, etc.)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proven program/project management capability, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.

Apply today to be part of what’s next.

We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world. We do this with an eye to the future, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through cutting-edge innovation, and driving the next wave of technological breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and connect.

About ASM

At ASM, we’re shaping the future at the atomic level. We enable the next generation of microchips by empowering leading semiconductor manufacturers with advanced wafer processing equipment.

Through our mastery of thin-film deposition, we create the innovative tools and solutions that shape the materials at the heart of tomorrow’s technology – powering everything from AI and next-generation healthcare to cloud computing and smarter, more energy-efficient devices.

With over 4,600 people representing more than 60 nationalities across 15 locations worldwide, we’re united by one ambition: to stay ahead of what’s next. And with research centers in seven countries and nearly a quarter of our people and profits devoted to research and development, excellence is our baseline, not our finish line.

Our pioneering thin-film deposition technologies – like atomic layer deposition, epitaxy, silicon carbide, chemical vapor deposition and vertical furnaces – help our customers push the limits of performance, speed, and efficiency. Our strong patent portfolio, flat organization, and agile way of working enable fast collaboration, global mobility, and a competitive edge far beyond our scale.

Every day, we work to make integrated circuits smaller, faster, more energy-efficient, and more powerful. Together, we’re advancing technologies that unlock new potential and improve lives.
