We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing service operations in the Houston market. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving complex mechanical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of commercial HVAC systems while ensuring customer satisfaction and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, package units, and related mechanical systems.
• Diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate repair recommendations and system conditions to customers and management.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a professional manner.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Participate in occasional on-call rotations and overtime opportunities as needed.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
Preferred
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls.
• Experience servicing chillers, VAV systems, and advanced HVAC equipment.
• NATE Certification or additional technical certifications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
