What we do:

Corporate Group / Real Estate is responsible for 3 sites between NY and NJ, as well as a new site being built in NJ. This role is for our NJ site in East Rutherford currently, but once construction is complete in 2029/2030, employees will be transferred to our new site in Warren Township. This position is critical to maintain the 24/7/365 of a world leading Cash processing and Data Center facility. The candidate must be experienced and very reliable to be able to maintain 100% functionality of a critical site. The Engineer will work as a team on his shift and outside his shift as needed. The Engineer report directly to the Watch Engineer on shift and ultimately report to the Director of Property Management.

  • The shift is from 7AM - 3PM*

Schedule will be 40/hrs per week with 5 days on / 2 days off, and days worked will include at least 1 weekend day. Days off may rotate as needed to support the manpower requirements.

Your role as Lead HVAC Engineer:

  • Required to have in-depth knowledge and practical skills in all facets of the HVAC trade.
  • Act as an established and productive individual contributor. Work independently with general supervision. Face problems that are difficult, but typically not complex.
  • Perform work under general supervision with some autonomy and discretion, escalating questionable situations to supervisor.
  • Communicate with co-workers (typically within your department) to obtain or provide information that requires some explanation or interpretation in order to reach a resolution. Collaboration with other Trades within Real Estate.
  • Requires practical knowledge of their job area. Clear fundamental understanding of HVAC operational theory.
  • Act as an integral HVAC SME to help open a brand new state of the art facility while transferring operations from our legacy site.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant on-the-job experience is required. Experience in an industrial/Commercial setting is preferred as well as Data Center operation. Experience with roof top chillers and package units is a plus. Any time worked with Heat Recovery systems is a huge bonus.
  • Trade School is preferred but not required.
  • Candidate should possess a NJ Low Pressure Black seal and a NJ Seal Blue Engineers Seal. If these are not currently held, they must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • NJ Master HVAC License is preferred but not required.
  • NJDEP UST A/B Operator certificate will be required but also may be obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Candidates should be well versed in the use of most hand and power tools.
  • Candidate should be able to use basic computer programs, including but not limited to Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong BMS operator experience is preferred.
  • Hydraulic experience is also a plus.

Salary Range: $90000 - $105000 / year
