Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an experienced Lead HSE Advisor to join our Havieron Project team. The role will be FIFO fulfilling a 2:1 roster, commencing immediately.

The tasks you’ll perform:

  • Manage all members of the HSE team in compliance with applicable project specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards
  • Plan, develop and implement HSE related plans, process, and procedures to enable the efficient management of the Project and ensure HSE targets and reporting are met
  • Provide specialist advice across all project disciplines including assessing and identifying risks to ensure activities prioritise safety, environment, community and industrial relations
  • Maximise the productivity and efficiency of the HSE team by planning, scheduling and the appropriate allocation of all resources to ensure deliverables are met
  • Register and file all relevant documentation in accordance to Company approved procedures
  • Provide input for the compilation and submission of the project progress report monthly
  • Plan and implement a Project Audit Schedule for internal and Contractor HSE audits and confirm compliance with the Project Audit Schedule
  • Manage Company and Contractor implementation of the Company’s HSE software system
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of Contractor compliance with the Project HSE Management Plan

The expertise you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in HSE Management
  • Experience working FIFO in a construction environment
  • Certificate IV in OHS or relevant tertiary qualifications (desired)
  • Internal or Lead Auditor for Integrated Management Systems or, OH&S Management Systems Lead Auditor & Environmental Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of HSE Legislation and good industry practice
  • Experience developing HSE plans, procedures and training packages
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule HSE programs
  • Ability to lead HSE communications in small groups
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
