The Oaks at Denville is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to join our team!

The Oaks at Denville is a Springpoint Senior Living community located in Denville, NJ. We are seeking a Full-Time Lead Housekeeper to join our team. At Springpoint, our Lead Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and comfortable environment in the Community. This position supports, and inspects the performance of the housekeeping staff to ensure all procedures are completed to standards and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift
• Attend in-service training as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and abide by all infection control standards of the department
• Keep utility and storage areas in good order and clean.
• Handle and store all cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Scour and polish all bathroom apparatus.
• Routine cleaning of resident rooms (e.g. sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash baskets, etc.).
• Clean, sanitize, dust and vacuum all areas of the community on a daily basis.
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Ensure that all personnel performing tasks that involve potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or hazardous chemicals participate in appropriate in-service training programs prior to performing such tasks.
• Maintain records, inventory and schedules, initiate work schedules and time spent on tasks.
• Ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are maintained to meet the daily needs of the community and residents.
• Assure that all community residents, employees and visitors follow the established safety and fire regulations including the Right to Know Act.

Education and Experience:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in supervisory role or leading staff.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
