Functional Role:

This role reports to:

Purpose of the role:
- Collaborate with OSS Manager & OSS Supervisor to grow and maintain an effective On-Street Services Division
- Responsible for organizing & coordinating the daily duties of all OSS employees and day-to-day OSS field operations
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist Traffic Techs on jobs when necessary
- Communicate regularly with OSS Manager
- Perform installations when required, training OSS team in new installs
- Installs are performed safely, accurately, and on budget
- Customer’s needs are handled accurately and timely
- Ensure that employees understand and maintain a customer-service focus
- Review and inspect work zone temporary traffic control setups to ensure compliance with drawings/plans and regulatory specifications
- Ensure any work zone deficiencies are reported, documented and corrected in a timely manner
- Monitor all equipment delivered, in the field, and returned to ensure equipment is not lost or forgotten
- Train and orient employees to perform daily duties
- Create and manage jobs to keep employees efficient throughout the day
- Ensure crews are working in compliance with OSS safety program
- Inventory is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Maintain adequate inventory levels
- Continue to develop and maintain 5S and Lean Projects

Qualifications:
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license
- Previous supervisory skills are an asset
- Must have knowledge of the city and surrounding area
