Lead Graphic Designer

Position Overview

Lead the design and execution of graphics localization for audiovisual marketing content, including trailers, TV spots and digital campaign assets. The Lead Graphic Designer will combine hands-on creative and technical work with day-to-day guidance of the graphics team, ensuring that localized assets preserve the original creative intent and meet quality standards and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create, rebuild and localize motion graphics, title treatments and text cards using supplied projects, assets and visual references.
  • Lead the creation, reconstruction and localization of motion graphics, title treatments, text cards, endboards and other campaign assets.
  • Execute complex After Effects work, including animation, compositing, tracking and the integration of localized graphics into existing footage.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive tasks through scripting, expressions and reusable tools, improving efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Define practical approaches to challenging briefs, balancing visual quality, technical requirements and available production time.
  • Guide artists in adapting typography, layouts and animation for different languages, aspect ratios and delivery formats.
  • Review work before submission to QC, providing clear feedback and ensuring consistency across artists, assets and language versions.
  • Work closely with Producers to assess complexity, estimate effort, plan workloads and identify technical or creative risks early.
  • Support and mentor junior and mid-level artists, sharing knowledge and helping them develop their skills and independence.
  • Establish efficient project structures, templates and reusable setups that improve productivity and make handovers straightforward.
  • Troubleshoot project and rendering issues, resolving problems and supporting the team under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain clear standards for project organization, naming, asset management and delivery.

Requirements

  • Graphic Designer degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with strong skills in motion graphics, animation and compositing.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Good knowledge of Cinema 4D (preferred) or Blender, with the ability to incorporate 3D elements into graphics workflows.
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting for graphics workflows, particularly After Effects expressions and scripts, with the ability to apply these to practical production needs.
  • Significant professional experience in motion graphics, audiovisual post-production or graphics localization.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, animation and visual composition, with the ability to reproduce and adapt complex creative treatments.
  • Solid knowledge of post-production workflows, including formats, frame rates, resolutions, aspect ratios and rendering requirements.
  • Experience reviewing other artists’ work, providing constructive feedback and supporting their development.
  • Ability to assess production complexity, anticipate problems and propose creative solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage hands-on work alongside team support and review responsibilities.
  • High standard of design, motion graphics and technical execution portfolio.
