We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Lead to help shape the future of our enterprise cloud ecosystem. In this role, you will define platform standards, drive automation, lead IAM design, and mentor engineers within a high‑performing cloud team.

As the GCP Lead, you will define the technology direction for Google Cloud Platform services, build reference architectures, and ensure the platform is secure, automated, and cost‑optimized. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, System Architects, and engineering teams to deliver robust cloud capabilities that support enterprise‑wide adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technology standards, reference architectures, and future‑state designs for GCP platform services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and architects to develop and operate GCP platform capabilities.
• Lead the design and implementation of Identity & Access Management (IAM) across GCP, including service accounts, org policies, and modern authentication patterns.
• Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a strong focus on Terraform and reusable modules.
• Support engineers in building and maintaining platform services using IaC and automation best practices.
• Partner with FinOps teams to embed cost visibility, optimization, and billing governance into platform services.
• Ensure security, compliance, and quality standards through design reviews and continuous improvement.
• Mentor cloud engineers and contribute to best practices, patterns, and documentation.
• Build proofs of concept/value for new GCP capabilities.
• Maintain high‑quality cloud design documentation.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or Business Management.

Experience & Technical Expertise

• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in cloud engineering with a strong focus on GCP.
• Solid background in Google Cloud services and enterprise‑scale cloud operations.
• Extensive experience with Terraform, IaC, and automation pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud billing models, cost allocation, and optimization strategies.
• Proficient in scripting and troubleshooting using Python and Bash
• Experience designing enterprise account structures and security models in GCP.
• Skilled in PaaS offerings, containerized workloads ( GKE) and serverless ( Cloud Run).
• Deep knowledge of cloud delivery models and cloud‑based data integration patterns.
• Engineering and coding experience in agile environments.
• Familiarity with architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF) and service management frameworks ( ITIL).
• Proven track record in roadmapping, technical architecture design, and solution definition.
