Lead Generation Specialist

Department: Business Development

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Romania

Reporting To: Nicholas David

Energy5 is a turnkey provider of commercial electrification and decarbonization infrastructure. We design, build, and manage the full project lifecycle for our clients, including site design, engineering, rebate and grant management, permitting, installation, inspection, activation, and ongoing maintenance. By handling every step in-house or through our integrated teams, we reduce project complexity, accelerate timelines, and help customers capture the maximum available incentives so they can lower total project cost and retain one hundred percent of the long-term charging revenue.

In 2024 we tripled our revenue, and in 2025 we doubled. We operate with startup speed and national reach, supported by the field crews and construction strength of our sister company, Utilities One. This gives Energy5 true coast-to-coast capability, allowing us to deliver anything from a single charger at a small business to full-scale, multi-hundred-port deployments.

As an Energy5 Lead Generation Specialist, you will support the growth of our Account Management teams by identifying, qualifying, and organizing targeted lead opportunities. This role plays an important part in ensuring our sales organization is focused on the right companies, industries, and projects that align with Energy5’s turnkey, construction, and funding services.

You will research markets, identify potential customers, and build structured lead lists that support outbound campaigns, call center engagement, and direct sales activity. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with data, and the ability to identify patterns that improve targeting accuracy and conversion performance.

This role reports directly to the Head of Sales and works closely with Partnerships, Account Management, and call center teams to improve lead quality and opportunity conversion.
This position helps increase inbound opportunities and improves the efficiency of outbound efforts by ensuring leads are relevant, well-qualified, and aligned with available incentive programs and infrastructure demand.

Key Responsibilities

Success in this role comes from consistently delivering targeted, well-structured lead datasets that align with Energy5’s services and market focus, and drives customer conversion performance.
You will work closely with sales leadership, partnerships teams, marketing, IT, and call center partners to improve lead quality, maintain organized datasets, and support outbound campaign activity.
Energy5 supports a wide range of customer types, including charge point operators, private fleets, developers, national brands, OEMs, consultants, and commercial property owners seeking electrification solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying target industries and companies aligned with Energy5’s services across EV charging, infrastructure, fleet electrification, and commercial development
  • Building structured leads using scraped, sourced, or researched data
  • Cross-referencing potential customers against incentive and rebate programs to prioritize high-probability opportunities
  • Managing and organizing lead data within Salesforce
  • Supporting outbound email and digital campaigns through targeted lead segmentation
  • Distributing qualified leads to account managers, partnerships teams, and call center resources
  • Monitoring lead performance and identifying patterns that improve targeting accuracy
  • Maintaining clean and organized datasets that support efficient outreach
  • Supporting campaign testing and list optimization efforts
  • Developing structured KPIs that measure lead quality and conversion effectiveness
  • Collaborating with internal teams to refine targeting strategies based on market feedback
  • Identifying industry segments showing increased EV adoption or infrastructure demand
  • Helping build repeatable processes that improve lead generation efficiency over time

  • Enjoy research and structured data work
  • Are disciplined, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Take ownership of deliverables and follow-through
  • Are comfortable working with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and datasets
  • Can identify patterns and opportunities within market data
  • Communicate clearly across internal teams and stakeholders
  • Work independently in a remote environment
  • Value consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
