Virtual Assistant – Lead Generation,
Research C Business Development Support for an Italian interpreter/translator
About the Role
A UK-based
Italian conference interpreter specialising primarily in English–Italian and
Italian into English interpreting and communication. We are seeking a
proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful Virtual Assistant to support
business development, lead generation, market research, client acquisition,
outreach, CRM management, and marketing
activities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research,
relationship-building, and creating efficient systems. As the business
continues to grow, there will be opportunities for increased responsibilities
and hours.
One of the most important aspects of this role is
supporting a business within the interpreting and translation industry. We are
looking for someone who either has prior experience in this field or is
genuinely interested in learning the industry quickly. A strong understanding
of interpreting and translation terminology will help ensure that research,
outreach, and content accurately reflect the profession and resonate with the
target audience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Market Research
Research
and identify potential direct clients with a clear or likely need for
Italian/English interpreting/or translation or communication with
Italian-speaking audiences within the following sectors:
Pharmaceutical
Healthcare
Market
Research
Business
Events
Conferences

Identify
project managers, event managers, conference organizers, procurement
contacts, and language service managers connected to Italian-language
projects, Italian markets or multilingual activities that include Italian
through LinkedIn
and other professional platforms.
Research
interpreting agencies specializing in
Remote Simultaneous Interpreting
(RSI)
and conference interpreting (excluding Over-the-Phone
Interpreting (OPI) providers).
Monitor
industry trends and identify new business opportunities for English into
Italian AND Italian into English interpreting.
Website & Company Research
Review
company websites to determine whether they organize or support:
Multilingual
events involving Italian-English languages
Conferences

Gather

and status updates.
Ensure
all prospect records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.
Outreach & Follow-up Support
Prepare
and send initial outreach messages using approved templates.
Draft
and send follow-up emails or LinkedIn messages.
Track
outreach activity, responses, and follow-up schedules.
Record
all communications within the CRM.
Escalate
qualified opportunities to the client and ensure timely follow-up with
prospects.

Content & Marketing Support
· Prepare simple social
media posts for AGM Interpreting.
· Repurpose existing
LinkedIn content into Instagram posts, email newsletters, and short-form
marketing content.

Create content that
accurately reflects the interpreting and translation profession, following the
client's guidance and brand voice.
· Ensure all content
uses appropriate industry terminology and demonstrates an understanding of
interpreting services.
· Organize content
assets and maintain consistency with the AGM Interpreting brand.

General Responsibilities
Maintain
an organized CRM and prospect database.
Ensure

Identify
