Role Overview: Lead Functional ERP Analyst

Arlington, VA | In-office, Monday-Friday

We are currently seeking a Lead Functional ERP Analyst to support our accounting, finance, and procurement systems across our 8,400+ employee global organization with headquarters in Arlington, VA (Rosslyn). The Lead Functional ERP Analyst will work within the Financial Business Systems (FBS) team to modernize and standardize CoStar’s global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes through strategic implementation and optimization of Oracle Cloud ERP solutions. The analyst will be responsible for Oracle functional design, configuration, and deployment across P2P and R2R Portfolio of projects.

In addition to a strong Oracle functional skillset, the ideal candidate will possess experience in business process transformation, fit-gap analysis, solution architecture, integrations, reporting, data conversion, testing, and change management. The candidate should have experience delivering end-to-end Oracle Cloud implementations, global rollouts, finance transformation programs, and acquisition integrations while ensuring compliance with SOX controls and enterprise governance standards.

The Financial Business Systems team is responsible for delivering scalable Oracle Cloud capabilities that support CoStar’s growth strategy, operational excellence, and continuous modernization of finance processes. This role will report to the Director, Financial Business Systems and will be responsible for delivering Oracle Cloud ERP initiatives across both P2P and R2R process areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Controls teams to document and analyze current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Lead business analysis and requirements elicitation efforts for Oracle Cloud implementations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
  • Translate process improvement recommendations into detailed functional requirements and solution designs.
  • Facilitate workshops, fit-gap assessments, solution reviews, and design sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Implement and support Oracle Financials and Procurement Cloud ERP as the strategic finance platform for CoStar Group.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Cloud ERP modules including Procurement, Self-Service Procurement, Purchasing, Supplier Management, Accounts Payable, Expenses, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting (SLA), Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS), Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), and Fusion Tax.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud applications and recommend best-practice solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT and external partners to design and implement integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Develop and review functional specifications for reports, integrations, conversions, extensions, and workflow solutions.
  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Conference Room Pilots (CRP), and deployment activities.
  • Support data migration and conversion efforts resulting from acquisitions, global rollouts, and new implementations.
  • Produce comprehensive system documentation, including business requirements documents, functional designs, process flows, data mapping specifications, test scripts, test plans, training materials, and deployment documentation.
  • Develop reporting and analytics solutions utilizing OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), and Smart View.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, communicate impacts, and escalate concerns to leadership.
  • Ensure solutions comply with SOX requirements, internal controls, security standards, and enterprise governance policies.
  • Evaluate emerging Oracle Cloud capabilities and automation opportunities to drive continuous process improvement and finance transformation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.   
  • 8+ years of ERP, Financial Systems, Business Systems, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle E-Business Suite experience.
  • Experience implementing and configuring Oracle Cloud Financials and Procurement modules such as Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory, Supplier Management, Accounts Payable, Expenses, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Fusion Tax, and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and / or Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
  • Experience leading requirements gathering, solution design, business process re-engineering, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ Full Lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP implementation projects.
  • Exposure to Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) and revenue recognition processes.
  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments (e.g., SOX, public company controls, audit compliance).
  • Experience supporting acquisition integrations and global ERP deployment programs.
  • Basic SQL proficiency. Experience building reports in OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View, and Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Understanding of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), FBDI, REST APIs, and enterprise integration architecture.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Jira.
  • Oracle Cloud Implementation Certifications in Financials, Procurement, General Ledger, ARCS, or related modules.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, or Project Management certification.

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies. 

Base Compensation: $136,000 - $189,000
