This is a hands-on, business-facing leadership role requiring strong functional analysis, proven stakeholder management, structured problem-solving and resilience. You will provide clarity, build stakeholder confidence and maintain delivery momentum through design, build, testing, readiness and go-live.

  • Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities with resilience, accountability and a pragmatic delivery mindset.

Functional Analysis & Solution Design

  • Lead functional design workshops and playback sessions to validate proposed solutions and resolve gaps.
  • Structure complex issues, assess options and trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations to support timely decision-making.
  • Ensure functional deliverables are complete, testable and aligned with agreed business requirements.

Process Design & Business Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships across Trading, Risk, Operations and Finance, acting as a credible link between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Define current and future-state processes that align with CTRM program principles and enterprise data and reporting strategies.
  • Translate business concerns and stakeholder feedback into clear, prioritised delivery actions.
  • Support change and training teams with process documentation, business impacts and readiness materials.
  • Maintain stakeholder confidence and engagement through periods of complexity and change.

Governance & Quality

  • Ensure requirements, decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies and sign-offs are documented, traceable and appropriately governed.
  • Maintain business analysis standards and provide quality assurance across functional deliverables.
  • Ensure traceability from business requirements through solution design, testing and implementation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder review and sign-off through the appropriate governance forums.

Testing & Go-Live Readiness

  • Oversee UAT planning and ensure test scenarios reflect signed-off functional designs and real business use.
  • Work with stakeholders and delivery teams to identify defects, gaps and readiness risks early.
  • Drive practical resolution through agreed governance and escalation channels.
  • Support SIT, UAT, deployment and operational readiness, building business confidence in the solution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience leading business analysis or major workstreams within large-scale technology transformation or system implementation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of physical commodities trading, ideally Oil & Products, across one or more areas such as Front Office, Risk, Operations, Logistics, Scheduling or Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into practical, testable functional solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build credibility, align diverse stakeholders and maintain confidence through change.
  • Experience operating within formal program governance, including risk management, traceability, decision forums and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing Business Analysts.
