This is a senior frontend leadership role focused on building and scaling high-performance, customer-facing web applications within a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment. You will take ownership of frontend architecture and guide the development of modern, responsive, and accessible digital experiences using the React ecosystem. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, ensuring alignment between product vision, UX design, and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across design, product, and engineering to deliver seamless and scalable interfaces. In addition to driving technical decisions, you will mentor engineers and define best practices that elevate overall frontend quality. This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for a strong technical leader who thrives in execution-focused environments.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable frontend solutions using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+), ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Architect reusable UI components, design systems, and frontend frameworks for large-scale web applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and concepts into high-quality, interactive user experiences.
• Define and enforce frontend engineering best practices, including performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring frontend engineers through code reviews, coaching, and architectural guidance.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange.
• Drive key technical decisions related to tooling, frameworks, build systems, and frontend architecture.
• Optimize applications for performance, SEO, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement and promote robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and advocate for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in frontend development with strong expertise in React.
• Proven experience in a senior or lead frontend engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (SASS/LESS preferred).
• Experience building and scaling large, customer-facing web applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2 level) required.
• Nice to have: experience with Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR).
• Nice to have: exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Nice to have: experience in retail or e-commerce environments and micro-frontend architectures.
