This 9 month position is for the Lead Flight Director, responsible for conducting missions, maintenance of the simulator, and assisting with other STEM related programs as needed.
Job Duties:
-Conduct missions for schools, community, public and corporate groups
-Conduct on and off-site workshops and other programs as needed
-Develop and implement improvements to mission operations and materials as assigned
-Maintain mission supply inventory
-Maintain and clean simulators
-Troubleshoot technical issues in the simulator
-Set up and shut down of simulators
-Maintain extended activities supply inventory
-Facilitate after school and weekend programs as needed
-Maintain STARLAB dome and update software and programs as needed
-Facilitate STARLAB programs
-Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-Associates degree
- Has experience giving presentations to different age groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in education or science
- Teaching experience preferred (recent)
Additional Skills Requested:
- Comfortable with technology.
- Good communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Physical effort and dexterity: ability to manipulate props and technical equipment, must be able to present for long periods of time.
