WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

The Lead Financial Data Analyst in the Data Management team at SimCorp, at the IC5 level, is responsible for managing and delivering high-quality market and reference data for multiple clients across asset classes, including Equities, Funds, Fixed Income, OTC Derivatives, and Advanced Instruments. The role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of data while providing actionable insights to support informed business decisions. With typically 6+ years of experience, the IC5 analyst serves as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for complex data issues, client incidents, and operational challenges. The role involves analyzing trends, performing root cause analysis, monitoring data quality, and implementing robust controls to mitigate operational risks. The Lead Financial Data Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders, support teams, and business analysts to maintain data governance, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manage and deliver high-quality financial data across multiple asset classes for multiple clients, ensuring SLA compliance and data accuracy
  • Serve as subject-matter expert and primary escalation point for complex data issues and operational challenges
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement controls to mitigate operational risk and prevent recurring issues
  • Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and client onboarding activities
  • Drive continuous process improvements, maintain SOPs and operational runbooks, and optimize data workflows
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts, ensuring knowledge transfer, team development, and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, support teams, and business units to ensure effective data governance and issue resolution
