Auckland Council’s Chief Finance Office has an opportunity for a Lead Financial Advisor to join the Local Board Financial Advisory team.
This is a critical role for council, focused on providing timely and commercially insightful financial governance advice to support value‑add decision‑making, performance delivery and strong financial stewardship.
You will be working on:
This role supports either four local boards, or three local boards alongside cross‑council projects and processes.
Please note this is a fixed term opportunity until May 2027.
He kōrero mōu: About you
This role requires experience operating as a senior finance or commercial advisor within large, complex and potentially political organisations. You are confident working with elected representatives, resilient under pressure, and able to translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful advice.
