Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Lead - FP&A for the Reporting function supporting Medline Europe (EMEA), with additional support to international teams as required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing recurring reporting activities, coordinating reporting transitions, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, dashboards, and management reporting requirements while mentoring a small team of analysts.
This role is focused on reporting operations, governance, process improvements, and stakeholder coordination within a shared services/GCC environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

  • Manage and develop a team of analysts, guiding their growth and ensuring delivery of high-quality work.
  • Allocate and monitor team deliverables to ensure timely completion of reporting activities.
  • Set clear objectives for the team, provide regular feedback, and support capability development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support team engagement and collaboration.
  • Serve as backup for the reporting manager and support other team members when required.

2. Financial Reporting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of recurring financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables.
  • Oversee preparation of CFO decks, flash reports, dashboards, KPI trackers, and management reporting packs.
  • Review reporting deliverables prepared by team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to reporting standards before sharing with onshore stakeholders.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities.
  • Support management reporting and GAAP reporting activities through Oracle PBCS /EPBCS and related reporting systems.
  • Ensure consistency, completeness, and governance of financial data across reports and systems.

3. Reporting Support & Coordination:

  • Work closely with onshore stakeholders to support recurring reporting requirements and reporting timelines.
  • Support transition of reporting activities from onshore or other teams into the GCC/shared services environment.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for reporting inputs, issue resolution, and timely closure of deliverables.
  • Maintain reporting documentation, SOPs, trackers, and process notes.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency, standardization, and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and simplification using reporting and analytics tools.
    Support implementation of process improvements and reporting enhancements.

5. Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with onshore and offshore stakeholders.
  • Understand reporting requirements, manage expectations, address operational concerns, and escalate issues as required.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across teams and geographies.

6. Ad Hoc Reporting Support:

  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests, data requirements, and operational analysis from stakeholders.
  • Respond to queries from onshore business partners in an accurate and timely manner.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively in a global organization.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • 7–10 years of experience in financial reporting, finance operations, or reporting support roles.
  • Experience in shared services/GCC environment preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and practical understanding of accounting principles and reporting processes.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably QAD.
  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Oracle PBCS / EPBCS.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, dashboards, and reporting automation tools preferred.
    Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on process efficiency and reporting governance.
  • Flexible and collaborative team player.

Educational Qualifications:

  • CA/CMA or MBA from a reputed institute.
  • 7–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle PBCS / ERP systems / Power BI / reporting tools preferred.
