Job Description

The Data Analyst – In-Vessel UT Analyst will provide project leadership for assigned inspection deliveries including planning, scheduling, coordination and implementation Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) exams at a customer site. This leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the successful execution of inspection projects, upholding technical standards, and fostering continuous improvement in tooling and operational processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review and accept inspection data per applicable codes and procedures.
  • Prepare comprehensive data packages and final reports.
  • Support resolution of technical issues related to NDE.
  • Contribute to the development and qualification of NDE procedures.
  • Assist in the advancement of inspection techniques and tooling, with emphasis on Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for nuclear plant inspections.
  • Interface regularly with Engineering and business teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and development of inspection tooling and processes.
  • Ensure alignment of inspection needs with broader engineering and business objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with GVH vendors and contract personnel.
  • Promote high-quality work products and clear, professional communications within the integrated team.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in automated data collection.
  • Extensive knowledge of the IVUT product line, including its technical applications, operational requirements, and strategic objectives.
  • NDE Level III or UT Data Analyst Certification(s).

Eligibility Requirements

  • The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to domestic and international plant sites
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
  • Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
  • Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
  • Ability to work under high stress conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas
  • Ability and willingness to work 12 hrs./day and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of ultrasonic testing principles and applications, with experience in BWR environments considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and adapt to evolving inspection technologies.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced, technically demanding environments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay current with industry advancements, codes, and standards.
  • Experience in providing technical support, training, or mentorship to peers or junior technicians.
  • Flexibility to travel and support field operations as required by project scope or business needs.
  • Commitment to procedural compliance and safety standards in all inspection activities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Appendix VIII / PDI Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in Phased Array UT application and applicable software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of outputs.
  • Knowledge of both BWR 2-6 and PWR vessels and components
  • Developed experience with varying software utilized for internal processes (Including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP, and PLM, UltraVision)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,400.00 and $152,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
