Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.   • Develop an understanding and adhere to Penn Gaming and Hollywood Dayton’s purpose, policies and procedures, in support of EVS role in meeting the needs of the Property.
  • Lead EVS staff and assets in a professional, efficient manner with a positive, friendly attitude toward Hollywood team members and our guests.
  • Be a role model of leadership, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Provide a high level of EVS performance through excellence in management and skill development.
  • Back stock supplies and secure supplies when they arrive.
  • Support and assist the attendants in the completion of daily tasks within the department. Responsible for managing work assignments provided by the Assistant Shift Manager. Provide direction to ensure the completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
  • Attendant is responsible for assisting in body fluid clean-up property wide.
  • Complete all assignment sheets during the scheduled shift.
  • Ensure the shift report is accurately filled out and submitted before leaving for the day.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with EVS Management.
  • Get necessary cleaning supplies for departments, fellow employees, and guests as requested.
  • Immediately respond to calls for housekeeping problems; broken glass, spills, toilet backups, etc.
  • Perform miscellaneous cleaning tasks as needed; clean vents, high dust, wipe walls, etc.
  • Positively respond to all guest concerns and issues to promote a return visit.
  • Provide positive communication and use Marquee Service with every patron and team member.
  • Effectively respond to Manager’s or Assistant Shift Manager’s requests in all areas of guest interaction and
  • customer concerns.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
  • Respond to and handle any calls or problems concerning housekeeping issues.
  • Tour the property to check for cleanliness and ensure carpets are properly shampooed, vacuumed,
  • and tile floors stripped and waxed and communicate to the Supervisor any discrepancies.
  • Provide verbal and/or written communication to the Assistant Shift Manager and/or Manager on any EVS problems encountered during the day.
  • Ensure that necessary cleaning supplies are available and stored immediately.
  • Assist other EVS personnel with cleaning tasks as needed and assist the Assistant Shift Manager with retraining as needed.

  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
  • Must have be proficient in computer knowledge to include keyboarding skills, all Microsoft Office applications, email usage, and database, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Knowledge of all office machines and tools (jet sort, coin roller, 10-key by touch, credit card cash advance systems).
